From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Analytics Quotient Analytics Quotient (or AQ for short) is a concept introduced by IBM Business Analytics software to help organizations evaluate the effectiveness of their business analytics implementations. It is similar in spirit to IQ or EQ in that the higher the AQ, the better the expected outcomes

AQ consists of two core elements: a numerical score and a four-stage AQ Maturity Model. The four stages are Novice (under 80 AQ), Builder (81-119 AQ), Leader (120-140 AQ) and Master (140 AQ and above). An AQ score is calculated using a set of questions regarding a person or organization's ability to apply analytics to organizational strategy, business operations, resource allocations and overall decision-making.

The concept can be applied simultaneously to a person, a specific division or group of divisions within an organization, or an entire organization. Further, individuals or divisions within an organization may operate at different levels of analytical maturity.
