ZF-1 Viper is part of Project Azm of Pakistan Airforce, in which Pakistan Airforce is developing wide range of 5th generation Manned and Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) including next 5th generation Stealth Fighter aircraft code named PF-X by Pakistan Airforce. ZF-1 Viper] is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle well known as MALE UAV having maximum take off weight of 16 tons. Capable to achieve 30,000ft ceiling height, 0.8 mach cruising speed and 300kg of payload and 500km of range as per specification released at IDEAS Karachi. Major capabilities as per official unveiling are Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses, Deep Enemy Penetration Strike, Stealth, Low Radar Signature, Rapid Reconnaissance, Electronic Warfare. Pakistan has been long working on Stealth and UAV technology beside JF17 thunder, in an aim to compliment its F16 and gain Air Superiority over its conventional enemy primarily India. Pakistan has long experience of Aircraft manufacturing and its national aircraft manufacturing company PAC Kamra has been producing many other aerial weapons, fighter aircrafts and trainers such as JF17, K8 Karakorum and Super Mushak. Under the banner of Project Azm Pakistan is also developing next generation weapon systems such as Directed Laser Energy weapons and hypersonic missles.
