Tim Grove is a soccer coach who has experience coaching and training high level club, college, and professional teams. A native of Houston, he most recently had coached at MLS franchise Houston Dynamo in the academy setup. He was also at McMurry University from 2007-2010 after coming from the Nike Premier Club, Texans FC, currently known as Dallas Texans, the number one ranked club in North America. Previously, Grove coached for the PDL franchise, Sioux Falls, Spitfire where he served as Associate Head Coach and Director of Spitfire Academy and Camps. Prior to the Spitfire, he coached the women at Eastfield College leading the team to a runner up finish in the MAC conference while also training various teams for Everton FC America in Dallas. In 2004, Grove was hired as head men’s coach at Alma College in Michigan where he led the team to its best conference finish in recent years. During this time, he also served on the NCAA ranking committee as a representative of the Midwest Region. In 2003, as first assistant at the University of Texas at Tyler, Grove helped his team win the American Southwest Conference championship and United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship with a record of 20-1. During this time, he also coached and trained for East Texas Spirit Soccer club which participates in the Dallas Classic League. Grove has directed and trained at various camps for ten years including a number of NCAA Division 1 schools. He also served as a coaching instructor for North Texas Soccer between 2001-2004. Grove played collegiate soccer at Eastern Illinois University and St. Edwards University (Austin) where he helped both teams to the conference finals and Eastern Illinois University to the NCAA Division I tournament. As a youth, he was captain of the South Texas State ODP team while playing for the Houston Texans and Classics Soccer Clubs winning three state titles. Grove also played and captained the Klein Oak High School team and was named MVP, while being selected as a US Reebok High School All-Star. After college Tim played in the USISL, LASA, and USL professional/semi-professional leagues, most recently captaining the PDLs Laredo Heat. Grove holds a NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF National Youth License, USSF National B License, NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma, FA Psychology Badge, and a FA Fitness Badge. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Stephen F. Austin University.
