Talent Management Article Evaluation

  1. Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference?

Yes, it seems as though each fact mentioned has a reference at the bottom of the page. Most of the references listed are the same, but they are listed multiple times.

2. Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?

Yes, everything in the article is relevant to the article topic. However, the article itself is a little short and I feel as though there can be more information added about the topic to give readers a better idea of talent management. I also did not find anything that was distracting to me about the article.

3. Is the article neutral? Are there any claims, or frames, that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?

It does seem to be relatively neutral about the topic. I did not see anything negative about it. It does claim that talent management can uncover certain benefits in critical economic areas.

4. Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted?

Out of all of the links that I was able to click on, only 3 of them went to a source. The rest sent me to a "page not found." The other resources are books and no link to them but does show where to go to find it. They do seem like neutral sources that just give information about the topic.

5. Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?

I do not think there are any viewpoints that are overrepresented but I do feel that maybe some other people's opinions could have been added.

6. Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article?

Only three of the citation links work.

8. Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added?

One of the sources has a date of 1977 on it which is a little out of date. More information on the topic can definitely be added to make the article better.

This particular article is about the obstacles and challenges of talent management in an automotive industry. It is thought that talent management is made up of many different types of human resource activities and requires very talented people. Due to constant global changes there have been many problems in businesses and they have to find new ways to manage things within their company and what better way to do than then through talent management. Within this article there are challenges and barriers of talent management as well as success factors of it as well.

This is a short article about what talent management is and how it can help an organization grow. It is a business strategy that was created to help keep talented employees because those employees can help to better others and make a business function smoothly. There are certain parts to talent management and it lists business strategies to recruit and retain those talented employees. Along with this, it also gives advice on how to integrate talent management completely into an organization.

This particular journal is about growing management within an organization and how it is important to grow the talent and management capabilities. Having good talent management is when one has good skills, knowledge, cognitive abilities, and the potential to do well. Talent management is very important and necessary. More things in this article lists the goals of talent management, the history of the approach to talent management, gives a model of it, how to optimize it, also positive and negatives about talent management, and lastly strategies to have effective talent management.

This next one is an article about talent management and how it’s found in people when looking to hire for jobs. Finding good and talented people is not a hard thing to do, but making sure that they want to stay working for the same business is the challenge. If someone has so much talent and they are good at what they do, businesses will want them to stay and work there forever. However, most of those people are either satisfied with the job they have, or they go out and look for better opportunities.

The last source I have is a research paper that is the relationships between talent management and organizational performance. Expanding more into this, the purpose of this paper is to differentiate between those things and the creative ability of each. Basically, the climate that a person is put in can help determine their individual creativity and focus on their talent management as well as organizational performance which to me they seem to go hand in hand.
