Atindra Sarvadikar is a noted singer of today's generation. He is blessed with original & soulful voice. His music is a beautiful blend of intelligence, creation, emotion & tradition. His equal command over various music forms including Indian Classical, Semi-classical, Gazals, Fusion, Films, Devotional & various Contemporary Music forms made him distinct. He is regularly performing in concerts at various platforms all over India and abroad.He has also performed for various TV & Radio channels as well as recorded commercially. His creative endeavor as well divers experience as a 'Singer, Composer, Researcher, Author, Poet and Guru' has distinguished him from many other artists of his generation. He holds the degree of doctorate in Music under University of Mumbai.
Early life and education[edit]
The basic formal training in classical Singing i.e. Taleem commenced at the small age of five under guidance of mother Smt. Vrinda Sarvadikar. Then the Taleem took place under the guidance of Late Shri. Dattusinghji Gahervar who was a well known Guru (teacher). Since 2003, Taleem continued under the guidance & support of the Esteemed "Gaanprabha Dr.Prabha Atre", a Padmabhushan awardee. An eminent personality in the field of music, Dr.Prabha Atre has earned for herself a place of distinction as a brilliant thinker, outstanding performer, composer and teacher of music. She is one of the senior most, front ranking vocalists in the country representing 'Kirana gharana'.
Atindra is blessed with the original voice. His mellifluous voice is unique, rich, soul-searching, and soothing with tremendous power, stretching over an amazingly wide range of 3 octaves. An emotionally expressive and musically correct voice ideally suited to the contemporary acoustic environment governed by electronic amplification and sound processing. His vocalizing is in perfect diction and clarity. Besides the styles of Khayal and Thumri, He is equally adept with genres of Tarana, Bhajan, Gazals, Bhavgeet, Sufi, Fusion Music, Light Music as well as film & cross cultural music.
