A userspace draft is a draft of an article (or part of an article) associated with a specific user account and stored in the user namespace. Userspace drafts are distinct from drafts located in WP:Draftspace. You must create a user account to create your own userspace and be logged in to use it. Explanation:

Every registered user account on Wikipedia has its own "userspace" – for instance, User:Example/Lipsum is a page called "Lipsum" in User:Example's userspace. Userspace is part of Wikipedia, and its use is governed by community rules, but it is not part of the encyclopedia. (The encyclopedia part of Wikipedia is called the "mainspace" – e.g. Lorem ipsum is a page in mainspace.) Userspace Drafts are typically made on a "user subpage" (e.g. User:Example/Lipsum). User-specific drafts may also be located on a subpage in Draft space (e.g. [[Draft:<Article name>/<Username>]]). For a list of all your drafts (and any other subpages you have), click on "Contributions" (at the very top right of any Wikipedia page, if you're logged in), then scroll to the bottom and click the "Subpages" link. User pages are administration pages in the User and User talk namespaces, and are useful for organizing and aiding the work users do on Wikipedia, and facilitating interaction and sharing between users. User pages are mainly for interpersonal discussion, notices, testing and drafts (see: Sandboxes), and, if desired, limited autobiographical and personal content.

User pages are available to Wikipedia users personally for purposes compatible with the Wikipedia project and acceptable to the community; Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Wikipedia policies concerning the content of pages can and generally do apply to user pages, and users must observe these policies. Users believed to be in violation of these policies should first be advised on their talk page using Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user page does not violate our guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively, you may add {{Db-u1}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's user page guideline.
