From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Perforator veins are very specials veins which cross the deep fascia draining the superficial venous system into the deep one. They have valves forbidding blood to come from deep to superficial veins in muscular systole.[1]

Communicating veins have valves that only allow blood to flow from superficial to deep veins
