Blank Banshee, is a music producer and visual artist from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. [1] He began releasing music through bandcamp in 2012 with his debut album Blank Banshee 0,[2] followed by Blank Banshee 1 in 2013.[3][4] [5] His music is released independently and little is known of his identity. He wears a mask when appearing live, has only shown one picture of himself unmasked, and has done one known interview. [1] [6][7][8]
Style[edit]
Blank Banshee rose to prominence online in electronic music communities like seapunk and vaporwave .[9][5] He has received praise for his unique style of sampling.[3] Blank Banshee is also known for his trap influenced drum patterns he uses in his music. Many of his original compositions make use of music and sounds taken from software, video games, and digital devices.[5] He is known for his self produced music videos[5] most notably; Paradise Disc, a 6 part series of CG animations released through his Youtube channel in late 2013 to promote his sophomore release.[4] Paradise Disc was made available for download via his facebook page in early 2014.
