This is a list of article titles that may confuse some users. It's like the “I Thought It Meant” page at TV Tropes, but with titles from Wikipedia. You are welcome to edit it at your will.

0 to 9

• Any title with a year in it is not translated to the Japanese calendar in Japan. For example, Nineteen Eighty-Four isn't Shōwa 59 in Japan.
• 0.999... has many redirects, but 0.9 isn't one of them.
• 1300 AM and all higher numbers are correct and should not be PM. Similarly, 860 AM and anything else with a middle digit of 6, 7, 8, or 9 are perfectly fine.
• 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios were not created via square/square root relationship.
• 3G, 4G, and 5G are not a linear progression. For example, when 6G comes out, it isn't exactly twice 3G.
• 4Kids and Kars4Kids are unrelated.
• 50 Cent is not about the coin.
• 538 is about the year, not the website.

A

• Acroterion is not about the Wikipedia editor.
• (album) is not a malformed page with only a disambiguator.
• Aminal is not a childish misspelling of animal.
• Angers is not angry.
• Arsenal, at the base title, is not about the sports team.
• Arsole is not a part of the body.

B

• Babylon 5 is not the fifth in a series.
• Bad Orb is not an orb that is bad.
• Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is not the 5th entry in the Burton/Schumacher Batman film series that so happens to have “Superman: Dawn of Justice” as its subtitle.
• Batman, Turkey is unrelated to the comic book character except for a lawsuit that happened once.
• The Bats people are not part bat.
• Battleship, at the base title, is not about the game.
• Big Hero 6 is not the sixth in a series.
• The Book of Job won't help you get hired.
• The Book of Numbers is not a book full of numbers.
• Bo'ston is not in Ma'ssachusetts.
• Boston Pizza is a pizza chain that cannot be found in Boston.
• The Burger Court is not a food court that only sells burgers.

C

• CA125 may be a route in the San Diego area, but the link points elsewhere.
• Came is not a dictionary definition of the word.
• The Capitol Mall is not a shopping mall.
• Johnny Cash cannot be spent.
• Catfish are not cats.
• Chihuahua cheese does not come from chihuahua dogs, despite dogs being mammals.
• Cleveland Circle is in Boston, not Cleveland.
• Colored and Coloured are two different articles despite being different variants of the same word.
• Coney Island is not an island.
• Copyleft, Copywrong, and Copywrite go to three different places, none of which are Copyright.
• Cori Bush, currently in the US House, and Diane Mitsch Bush, who lost House elections in 2018 and 2020, are not related to either president Bush.
• Coulor and Coulours are not redirects to color.
• Covidien predated COVID-19 by over a decade.
• The Crimean War did not occur in 2014, 2022, or any time in the 21st century. For that matter, Crimea is not named after crime.
• Cruz v. Beto is not about the 2018 Senate election in Texas.

D

• The Democratic Republic of the Congo is nowhere near democratic.
• The Diet of Worms did not involve eating worms (except when the article gets vandalized).
• Disney bombs aren't Disney movies that failed at the box office.
• The Divine Comedy isn't very funny. Back then, the word “comedy” had a different meaning.
• Most items at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar cost more than a (US) dollar, although this is a recent (2021-2022) change for Dollar Tree.
• Don Black (white supremacist) was definitely not black.
• Donkey Kong is not a donkey.

E

• The electoral college is not a place to go to school. And note to Americans: the page isn't US-specific.
• Exploding Kittens and Exploding whale have nothing to do with each other.
• Ewe people are not part sheep, nor are they sheeple.

F

• F-, C--, and C++ are not grades.
• Fianna Fáil has nothing to do with failing.
• The Flint water crisis had lead in the water, not flint.
• Template:For does not create a for loop.
• Fox people are not part fox. Similarly, Fox language is unrelated to foxes or What Does The Fox Say?.
• The Franks were Germanic.
• Fries (surname) is pronounced "freeze", as is Fries, Virginia.

G

• G20 is not a speedy deletion criterion.
• Gadsby (novel) and The Great Gatsby are unrelated novels.
• The Georgian Wikipedia is intended for those in the country of Georgia, not the US state.
• Ghoti people are not part fish.
• Gold dollars are actually made of gold and are not to be confused with the gold-colored US$1 coins starting in 2000 or with current dollar coins in Canada or Australia.
• Gould is not the British spelling of gold.
• Graham crackers weigh more than a gram.

H

• Ham people are not part pig.
• Harvard, Massachusetts does not contain Harvard University.
• Head cheese is meat.
• Hell on Wheels and Meals on Wheels were not created by the infamous Wikipedia vandal Willy on Wheels.
• Hell, Michigan and Hell, Norway are not typically hot.

I

• iCarly and iParty are not owned by Apple.
• Indian Americans are actually from India and are not to be confused with Native Americans.
• You cannot eat an Indian pie. Well, you theoretically could, but it's highly discouraged.
• Indianopolis redirects to a city in Brazil, not to Indianapolis.
• Interstate 0, Interstate 60, and I-131 are not about the roads (none of them exist in reality).
• There is no iPhone 2.
• Iranistan is not in Iran.
• Ísland does redirect to an island, but only by coincidence.

J

• Jackson County, Mississippi is on the coast and does not contain the city of Jackson.
• Java, at the base title, is not about the programming language.
• While Fonzie may have jumped a shark in the episode of Happy Days that gave this its name, Jumping the shark does not usually involve jumping over sharks.

K

• Karen people are not all female, nor are they all annoying.

L

• Last is not a dictionary definition of the word.
• Lemures are not cute animals, contrary to the artwork of one particular early Magic: The Gathering card.
• Limerick, at the base title, is about the city, not the rhyming poetry.
• Lisa the Greek does not involve Lisa Simpson visiting Greece.
• Lolol has nothing to do with internet speak.
• Louvres, Val-d'Oise is about 15 miles from the Louvre. For that matter, Louvre is not a double-British (o → ou, er → re) spelling of "lover".
• Lucknow will not make you lucky.

M

• M$ is not the Mexican peso or any other currency.
• Macaronic language is not the name of an actual language.
• Magas has nothing to do with MAGA, despite Trump's connections to Russia.
• Malcolm X is not to be read as a Roman numeral.
• Man page is not Main page with a typo.
• Mario Cuomo and Muriel Bowser are both American politicians, but despite the Mario series, they have never come in conflict with each other.
• Mega Man X and Mega Man 10 are two different games.
• Mer people are not part fish.
• Metapedia is not meta.wikimedia.org. DO NOT mix these up.
• Minesweeper, at the base title, is not about the game.
• The Minute Waltz takes longer than a minute to play.
• Miroslav Šatan is not the Devil.
• Missouri City is in Texas, not Missouri.
• Monsters vs. Aliens isn't a fighting game where one half of the character roster is monsters and the other half are Xenomorphs.
• Montevideo is not a video.
• Must is not a dictionary definition of the word.

N

• The National Mall is not a shopping mall, although it's in a dense enough area that you're within walking distance of many stores.
• NC-17 is not a numbered highway or a congressional district.
• Wikipedia:NFT predates NFTs by years.
• Niger and Nigeria are unrelated countries.

O

• Old Zealand redirects to Zeeland, not Zealand.
• Orly and Yarly are not about a meme involving an owl.

Ø

• Ø (Disambiguation) is not a disambiguation page.

P

• Periodic acid does not have any periodicity.
• Piggies is not a redirect to Pig.
• Portal, North Dakota is on the US/Canada border. Don't expect to see any portals at the border; it's a regular border crossing.
• The pound sterling is no longer made of silver.
• A power chord is not what you use to plug in your device, nor is it the chord that plays when you press the on button of a computer.
• .py does not refer to the Python file extension.

Q

• Queens is not a redirect to the singular form Queen.

R

• Roanoke, Virginia is in the western part of the state and has nothing to do with the historical colony.
• Russian mat and Persian rug have nothing to do with each other.
• There are several minor variants of roulette, mostly regarding the number of zeroes and what happens when a ball lands in zero. Russian roulette is not one of them.

S

• Sand dollars can't be spent.
• Sandbox is not the Wikipedia sandbox.
• SAT solvers will not help you do better on the SATs.
• SCP 06F6, except for a brief time when it was vandalized, is not about the SCP Foundation.
• Seals of any place (e.g. Seal of New York City) are not animals.
• Jessica Simpson and O. J. Simpson are not on the Simpsons TV show.
• Slovenska is Slovakia, not Slovenia.
• Smash TV does not involve smashing your TV. It's not even on television; it's an arcade game. And no, you don't smash the arcade screen, either.
• The Snake Indians are not part snake.
• Snoopy and Snoop Dogg are unrelated.
• Sock puppet, at the base title, is not about alternate accounts.
• Split, Croatia, is not split in any way.
• Steam, at the base title, is not about the company by Valve. For that matter, Valve isn't about the company, either.
• Stock cars are anything but.
• Stoning does not involve marijuana.
• Sus law has nothing to with Among Us.
• Swiss franc is not a frankfurter with Swiss cheese.

T

• Test article is not eligible for speedy deletion.
• Three dollar coin is about real, but historical, currency. Three dollar bill is about fake currency.
• Togo is not about take-out food.
• Torii are not torus-shaped.
• You can take a tour of Tours, but that's not how it got its name.
• While Charles Trump is in elected office as a Republican, he is not part of the Trump family.
• Turkey is not about the animal.
• Twice is not a dictionary definition of the word.

U

• United States of Mexico (a redirect) is not the United States and Mexico combined.
• United States of Venezuela has nothing to do with the United States of America, and unlike Mexico above, it isn't a redirect to Venezuela.

V

• Vancouver Island does not contain Vancouver.
• The Vandals did not engage in vandalism any more than other tribes did.
• Virginia Foxx and Virginia Woolf are unrelated.
• VT100 is not about the regionally famous route in Vermont.

W

• West, Texas is in a different part of Texas.
• Whale Wars does not involve people fighting against whales, nor is it Star Wars WITH WHALES!
• Sheldon Whitehouse is in the Senate, not the White House.
• The Wire isn't about the Doctor Who villain who resides in a portable TV.

Y

• Yo-Yo Ma is his actual name and not a "yo momma" joke.
