User:DonQuixote/Mixed Review, Mixed Reviews and Mixed to Good Reviews

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sometimes it isn't clear what is meant by a statement unless it is read in context. In the case of a collection of objects, such as reviews, a statement can be about the object (a review), a collection of objects (a set of reviews) or the individual objects of a collection (the individual reviews of a set of reviews). To that end, a single review can be bad, mixed, or good, whilst a collection of reviews can be bad, mixed, or good in terms of the average consensus. The confusion arises when we talk about a collection of reviews that are individually bad, mixed or good. In this case the commonly used but somewhat confusing phrase 'mixed to good reviews' means that the individual reviews range from mixed to good.
