Achal Kumar Srivastava is an Indian neurologist, medical researcher, academic and the head of the Electrophysiology at Department of Neurology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS), and known as a proponent of Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA).

Biography[edit]

Dr. Srivastava graduated in medicine from Motilal Nehru Medical College, passing out and secured his MD Motilal Nehru Medical College and DM from the AIIMS, Delhi in 1994 and 1998 respectively. He established the Movement Disorder Clinic in the Department of Neurology, AIIMS, New Delhi.

He is the principal investigator of multiple research projects funded by ICMR, DHR, DBT, DST, CSIR and multiple International funding agencies for which studies being conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology for tracking the genetic, prognosis and diagnosis of movement disorders including hereditary ataxia.
