-         Everything in the article is relevant to the topic. Caroline has recently been involved in a numerous amount of First Nations sports organizations seeking to bring honour, equality and respect, a fact that was recently missing.

Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted?

-         The information came from the original Olympic Team website. It explained in detail her heritage, her previous education and athletic career.

-         The viewpoints were for the most part underrepresented. Caroline has represented Canada for a very long time and most of the information before the edit was both not accurate and did not explain all of her incorporations appropriately.

-         Most of the information was out of date. Since Clavé’s previous wins, she has been working with the First Nations Snowboarding team to assist in making a monumental movement for the team.

1.      How will Caroline’s contribution to future First Nations Sports teams benefit them in a more positive way?

-         Caroline’s contribution will impact future First Nations sports teams in a more positive way by creating an environment where they are able to take pride in their heritage without the worry or possibility that it can be considered a disadvantage in their sports. Caroline will create a more positive environment with respect to her previous experience in competing in professional organizations such as the Olympics. Although she is already considered a role model and someone these athletes look up to, she can also be considered someone who can provide professional constructive criticism considering she is so successful in her sport.

2.      What qualities about Caroline with respect to her heritage and athleticism differentiates her from other athletes?

-         Aside from her aboriginal background, Caroline is different in an aspect where she is able to have a bigger impact on younger generations who are both First Nations and someone who very much values their heritage. Many athletes represent themselves as “Professional Canadian Athletes” where Caroline can be seen as one of the many athletes who consider themselves a “Canadian-Aboriginal Athlete”. This is viewed as someone who values everything that has happened through their lives that has brought them to where they are now, and can be seen as very inspirational.

3.      What message is Caroline trying to send for future generations on aboriginal athletes and the Olympics?

-         I believe that the main message Caroline is trying to send is to always have respect to where you come from. Caroline can be viewed as someone who is very spiritual and believes that everything through your entire live brings you to where you need to be. She explains that she is very close with her family, and this is critical because all of her success would not have been possible without the constant support from her family.  This is crucial in any athlete’s career, which is why Caroline sends this message across so efficiently.
