Drew Alexander Roberts[edit]

Drew Roberts is the founder, CEO, and chief pilot of Wild Rabbit Aerial Productions. Drew is an Art Center College of Design educated commercial photographer and FAA licensed pilot. As one of the top UAV pilots in the industry Drew has logged thousands of hours on set piloting for commercials, television shows and feature films. He is an active participant in the commercial UAS industry and is a member of the Local 600.

Early Life[edit]

Drew is the son of Claire Abbott, Andy Roberts and Lorilee Jones Roberts. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 23, 1985. He was raised and educated in the metro Atlanta area. Drew first developed an interest in photography while a student at Dacula High School from which he graduated in 2004.

Education[edit]

Drew moved to Las Vegas Nevada in late 2004 and enrolled in Community College of Southern Nevada where he used his courses in photography to build a portfolio, with a goal of being admitted to the prestigious Art Center College of Design. During those years he began honing his mechanical skills as well, fully building and racing a Stalker V6 race car. He began pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Art Center in the fall of 2007. He explored lighting techniques, photographing meticulously staged and lit night scenes before deciding to fully focus on commercial photography with an emphasis on the commercial automotive industry. Drew was deeply involved with trans disciplinary classes, working closely with complimentary majors like advertising, transportation design and graphic design, and not just on photographic aspects of each project. Drew was involved in art direction, technical development and design strategy while working on concept ad campaigns, all the way to collaborative, digital video concepts like JuJu, an immersive social event tool utilizing augmented reality, 360˚ camera tech and localized GPS positioned event live streaming. Early Career[edit]

While a student at Art Center, Drew was named by CKMY Magazine to their Top 100 Emerging Artists list. (DATE) One of his black and white portrait submissions was awarded third place overall from the 100 emerging artists. During this time he worked as a photographer's assistant for various photographer's in the industry, honing technical skills and a vision that would lead to the creation of Wild Rabbit Aerial Productions.

Wild Rabbit Aerial Productions[edit]

Wild Rabbit Aerial Productions was founded in Van Nuys by Drew in 2012 with his partner and brand manager, Bianca Fuchs, as well as Chief Camera Operator Katee Laine – both Art Center alumni. Later core team additions in 2013 were drone tech and AC, Nate LaBruzza, as well as producer and business manager, Dave Radin. Wild Rabbit was founded with the vision to bring creative cinematographic excellence using innovative aerial tools to the film, tv and commercial advertising industries. It has established itself amongst the first handful of pioneers from as a profitable, leading company in the aerial drone film business in the United States, with international recognition. One of the first companies to receive FAA 333 exemption, Wild Rabbit has been FAA compliant since its beginnings and holds current Part 107 certifications for all its pilots, as well as specialty waivers such as night flight exemptions. www.wildrabbitproductions.com
