Dubsism is an independent sports blog founded in 2009. It features an irreverent style combining a biting sense of humor with brutal honesty. Dubsism often challenges convention wisdom about the sports world, and sometimes rejects it completely with detailed reason. and is best known for making odd comparisons between the world of sport and just about anything else. The site's tag line describes it as "what your view of sports and life would be if you had too many concussions."

The primary author of the site is known only as "J-Dub," and "Dubsism" is defined on it's own "About" page as "simply the manifestations of the effects of life on the author." It also goes on to offer a warning to potential readers stating that "Dubsism is not for the faint of heart. If you are a delicate soul, you might be best served getting your read on elsewhere. As the saying goes, sometimes to make omelettes you have to break a few eggs, and a primary tenet of Dubsism is to bust huevos when needed. In short, if you are easily offended, you’ve been warned."

Since it's inception, Dubsism has developed a regular and devoted audience known collectively as "Dubsists." In that time, Dubsism has developed several creative partnerships along with features exclusive to Dubsism.

• Comparisons – Exactly what you would expect…looking at things outside the sports world and showing you that if life imitates art, then sports imitates life.
• Deep Six - Exposing the foibles of pop culture in sports, and/or just blowing up false narratives.
• Lists – They love a list at Dubsism, and their lists aren't like anything you'll find anywhere else.
• Grinds My Gears – J-Dub's rants about teams or people in sports who annoy him.
• Open Letters – More ”center-cut” chops of J-Dub at his best…pissed 0ff.
• Signs We Are Near The End Of Civilization – J-Dub's takes on little things which define how we as a society are screwing up our own lives every day.
• Guest Columns – Dubsism uses a fun mix of fictional characters and other bloggers to create some of the most unique content in the blogoshpere. This series takes us to all the guest columns and collaborations Dubsism has done over the years. For all questions about the business of sports, the Dubsism “go-to” guy is legendary Charlestown Chiefs general manager Joe McGrath (from the movie "Slap Shot"). Since the worlds of sports and law/crime have a definite intersection, private investigator Jim Rockford covers that. The sports world is getting more international every day, and to walk us through that Dubsism will feature the occasional musings of King George VI. For guest contributors who actually exist, the list includes Ryan Meehan from First Order Historians and Chris Humpherys from SportsChump, not to mention the several members of the now-defunct Sports Blog Movement.

There’s also several features which began on the now-archived Sports Blog Movement and now make a home on Dubsism.
