There is a coming new American revolution whose direction is yet to be determined. Our society will not long tolerate an espousal of individual liberties with the concurrent consumption by the government of our income, property, and rights as detailed in the Constitution and its amendments.

The first possible scenario is that a constructionist society, having become educated in a increasingly traditional manner will understand that the first American revolution occurred in order to establish individual freedoms and to limit the government's intrusion into the citizenry's personal lives.

The second is that, as a society, we will acquiesce to the progressives incremental influences, and accept that we are hopeless and helpless as individuals. As a result, we will become ever more dependent on a paternalistic government to take care of us while it takes our personal freedoms for the good of society.

Either case becomes a paradigm shift which will dominate for a century. The former is more likely because the constitution of the heterogeneous American society is in stark contrast to the homogeneous societies throughout the rest of the world. The American is the descendant of adventuresome individualists who left behind what was, albeit familiar, intolerable for countless reasons. Left behind were those who maintained or would tolerate the intolerable. Except for the French, they accepted what was doled out to them. If our society becomes more constructionist, there may be a considerable number of Tories who choose to leave for more socialist states.

If, through misinformation and incremental acceptance of socialism, the progressives are able to convice us to turn our self reliance into dependence on the government, there will be left a core of constructionists who will carve out a geographic area of the U.S., probably centered around the Great Lakes where the population tends to be most constructionist, an where there is an abundance of resources that can support a sovereign state. This will be accomplished through a secession which may require a military action to complete.
