Dr. Joseph (Joe) Benevento is an author and educator. He taught at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.

Biography[edit]

Dr. Joseph Benevento was born in Queens, New York to Mary and Joseph Benevento. He was raised Catholic in a working-class family.[1]

Benevento has served as the poetry editor for the Green Hills Literary Lantern (GHLL) since 1995.[2]

Benevento taught at Truman State University for 40 years before retiring in 2023. [3]
