Stefan Mandel is an economist known for winning the lottery 14 times. He started off in Romania working at an industrial mining company, a job in which he was not making enough to sustain his family. With a desire to leave the country, he started examining the Romanian lottery to make the money he needed. After reading math papers at a local library, he found a method that would allow him to guarantee a lottery win. Along with three friends, he was able to buy a winning lottery ticket, and he made enough money to leave Romania.[1]
He used the money to move to Australia. [2][3]
