My name is Annette, but I go by my website name, eduscapes. I’ve been a Wikipedia user since the beginning and even did some early editing. However it wasn’t until I became involved in a local history group that I became interested in editing and authoring Wikipedia articles.

Interests[edit]

A member of our history group suggested that we identify Wikipedia article needs related to the history of the American West and specifically southern Utah. We were amazed that no one had written an article on Almon Harris Thompson. I volunteered to get the ball rolling by learning the ins and outs of article creation using Almon Harris Thompson as our first project. After editing an article on Mount Ellen, I jumped into article creation.

Our group plans to work on editing and expanding articles as well as identifying new article needs. Since I enjoy both writing and programming, I volunteered to coordinate article production.

Personal life[edit]

I’ve been a teacher, school librarian, technology coordinator, and college professor. I’m currently a library science professor focusing on the past, present, and future of libraries. I teach courses in the area of children and young adult resources and technologies, information inquiry and instruction, and library history.
