User:Electricburst1996/TV listings as a source

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One source you might consider using when sourcing content in a "list of programs broadcast by" article is a TV listings site, such as Zap2It, or even the official TV schedule on the network's website. However, these are not normally considered reliable sources because these pages constantly change, making it harder to verify content with these sources. However, it is possible to archive these pages on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Once archived, the sources become reliable, as the archived page never changes with the original page. So before you go ahead and use TV listings as a source, put them in the Wayback Machine first, then use it as a source. To do so, you can go to http://www.archive.org/web and enter the URL you want to save into the "Save Page Now" section (bottom-right section).
