"The Ladies Club" is the 194th episode of the television series The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, which premiered on the CBS network on October 12, 1950

Plot

Act One

In the Morton Apartment, Harry and Blanche Morton are discussing Blanche carrying the banner at The Ladies Club to get a buiness deal. Harry doesn't like the idea of Gracie joining the club because Harry is trying to geta job that Mrs. Sohumers's husband owns. Gracie and Blanche are suppose to go shoping, but Mrs. Winstrell walks in. Harry leaves and Blanche entertains her as Blanche becomes nervous about Gracie coming in. Gracie knocksand the door and Blanche pushes her outside and but she keep trying to come in. When Blanche comes in Gracie follows and wants to join the club also, but gets everything mixed up and Mrs. Winstrell says she'll put in a nomination for her also. Mrs. Winstrell leaves as Gracie follows her to show her to the elevator.

Act Two

In the Burnes Apartment, Ronnie is studying the Stanislavski Method of acting, doing everyday things without uses props. And he teaches his mother, Gracie to use the Method starting with the telephone. George walks in to the miming drinking coffee and he joins them. The doorbell rings and Harry Von Zell is there and he is now watching the mime coffee, Gracie mimes the telephone agan, and tells Ronnie to pick up his skates as Ronnie mimes it, Harry Von Zell is confused.

Act Three

In the Apartment Restaurant, Harry Morton joins George and Harry Von Zell. Harry Morton tells George about his buisness deal with Blanche joing The Ladies Club and when George says Gracie is joining also Harry is not happy.

In the Burns Apartment, Gracie answers the door and Mrs. Sohmers is there. She tells Gracie about the club. Ronnie comes into the apartment and when Gracie asks Ronnie if Stanislavski like lamb chops for dinner, Ronnie mimes a phone call and Mrs. Sohmers is confused. As Mrs. Sohmers leaves George enters. She tells him his wife can not be a member and she tells him about the miming of the phone and he askes is he can smoke and she says yes, so he mimes smoking, but smoke comes out of his mouth.
