PIERRE PISCITELLI is a musician from NYC who has been active for nearly a decade. Over the past decade he has established himself as a pianist, guitarist, arranger and educator in New York and abroad. Born into a musical family, his parents who are both classical flutists encouraged music from the very beginning of his life. His classical studies on the piano began at age four and progressed throughout his young adult years. It was around this time that his focus began to shift towards jazz and contemporary music.

In 2009 Pierre received a scholarship to study music performance at New York University. He graduated in 2013 with a B.M. from NYU Steinhardt. During his time in school Pierre studied with NYC greats such as Andy Milne, Gil Goldstein, Billy Drewes, Wayne Krantz and Greg Burk.

An incident in late 2010 which left Pierre unable to play the piano for a nearly year-long period proved to be a life changing event for the better. Unable to use his right hand in any capacity, it was simply a burning adoration for all things musical that propelled him to find alternative avenues for expressing himself musically. Thus a new found love for composing, arranging and orchestrating music was born. It was a pivotal moment, which resulted in a profound transformation from pianist to musician. After 3 years of study with Grammy Award Winning arranger Gil Goldstein, Pierre honed his chops in the world of orchestration and arranging and has gone on to write dozens of string quartets, big band and full orchestral scores for clients in NYC and abroad.

As a founding member of Bailen (Concord Music Group) Pierre has toured the U.S., Canada, U.K., Europe and beyond.

Pierre’s passion for education has led to a busy private teaching schedule. In addition to teaching at his home in NYC as well as on Skype, he is on the faculty of the Crestwood Music Education Center as well as the renowned Hoff-Barthelson Music School in Scarsdale, NY.
