ForeScout was founded in 2000 by Israeli entrepreneurs Oded Comay, Hezy Yeshurun, and Dror Comay.

ForeScout’s core offering, ForeScout CounterACT is an agentless security appliance (physical or virtual) with the purpose of dynamically identifying network infrastructure and evaluating endpoint devices and applications as they connect to a network.
CounterACT Enterprise Manager provides centralized management and control of CounterACT deployments. It is available as a physical or virtual appliance.
ForeScout Extended Modules are add-on modules developed by ForeScout and ForeScout Technology Partners to provide integration between CounterACT and third-party security tools.
Technology[edit]
ForeScout Technologies’ products function at both the network and endpoint levels. At the network level, they identify the kinds of devices connecting to the network, including Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and enforce policy-based network access control. At the endpoint level, they can detect whether a device is compliant with security policies and can remediate common security issues such as broken security agents, misconfigurations, and malicious processes running on endpoints.

ForeScout was named by Gartner, Inc. as a leader in its Magic Quadrant report for network access control for four consecutive reports[3] and included in the Gartner Market Guide for IoT Security[4].
The company was named as a Forbes Top 100 Cloud Company and named to the JPMorgan Chase Hall of Innovation[5].
