The Liverpool Medical Students' Society (more commonly referred to as LMSS) is one of the longest-running student societies in the country. It's origins can be traced to the Medical Students' Debating Society (MSDS) that began in 1874 and was originally part of the Liverpool Royal Infirmary School of Medicine, before becoming Liverpool University Debating Society in 1902 when the Medical School became the Faculty of Medicine.
