Eric Work is currently working for an undisclosed start-up company in the San Francisco Bay Area. Eric graduated with his master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Davis in September 2007. He was a member of the VLSI Computing Laboratory (VCL) where he worked on mapping arbitrary connected task graphs onto parallel array architectures. The VCL group is focused on low-power DSP architectures and has fabricated two highly-parallel DSP chip multi-processors called the asynchronous array of simple processors (AsAP). As an undergrad at the University of Washington, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Eric worked on global positioning techniques using WiFi hot spots. He created a Pocket PC application, called the UW Campus Navigator, with 4 other students from the University of Washington and 5 students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as part of an international collaboration. He also created an educational suite for multimedia and networking, which was used to teach a class about multimedia in Seoul, South Korea lead by Professor Jenq-Neng Hwang. Eric was Professor Hwang's teaching assistant for the multimedia class.
