Richard Yee (director)
[edit]Richard Yee is a writer, director, producer and Co-Founder of Me + You Productions. Born in Glasgow, he studied at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Pennsylvania where he studied Fine art before pursuing a career in television.
Yee started in documentaries where he series produced, directed, and executive produced three series of An Idiot Abroad starring Karl Pilkington, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The series was nominated for a BAFTA,[1] RTS Award, Broadcast Award, National Television Award and British Comedy Award.
Yee later co-created the series The Moaning of Life with Karl Pilkington which was nominated for a Broadcast Award and Broadcast Digital Award.
In 2015 he co-created the comedy series Hoff the Record which was awarded an International Emmy[2] for the best comedy series in 2016.
In 2018 he followed this up co-creating and writing comedy-drama Sick of it (TV series) with Karl Pilkington. He also directed the series.
