Statistics
The project primarily aims to:
  • Create and improve articles related to the sport of figure skating.
  • Set up consistent structural and graphical layouts for displaying data on figure skating-related articles.
  • Ensure that information about figure skating on Wikipedia is accessible, even for the "initiated fan", or those that only pay attention to the sport every four years.
  • Provide guidelines and recommendations for editors working on figure skating articles and lists.
  • Serve as the central point of discussion for all issues related to figure skating on English Wikipedia.

How you can help:

  • Consult our Tasks page, which consists of lists of open tasks and worklists.
  • Take a look at the articles and lists on our Recognitions page, which meet the latest quality standards of Wikipedia, and use them as orientation for your own article regarding structure, language, and style. This also includes the formatting of images, tables, and references.
  • Read our style sheet (WP:FS STYLE) and use its tips and suggestions while creating, writing, and improving articles.
  • If the article is notably short, tag it with a stub template.
  • Use an external link template if any apply.
  • Tag the talk page of the article with {{WikiProject Figure Skating}}. Tagged pages are automatically listed under a namespace-specific category.
  • Help assessing tagged pages by defining the quality parameters on the template banner, such as the class (completeness status) and importance to the project.
  • Review articles nominated for A-class status.
  • Help categorizing pages by using the subcategories of Category:Figure skating.
  • It is easy to overlink in Wikipedia articles about figure skating. For rules and tips how to de-link articles, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking.
