I am Fiona Ellis-Chadwick and have been researching online retailing for the last 20 years. Previously I was a retailer and sold 'fancy goods' a term little used in retailing today and it was working in this sector, which caught my interest about the Internet. I then became an academic and business historian, looking at how online retailing has developed and is now changing the High Street.
