Geometry Dash private servers (GDPS) are separate unofficial servers of Geometry Dash, with their own separate servers on a gd client (Ex: Cvolton GDPS client). The userbase of the separate servers can publish levels on the servers and the owner of the gdps can create custom map packs, rate the levels etc

Geometry dash private servers need a hosting service and a geometry dash client, the most used ones being 7m.pl and CvoltonGDPS.

GD Clients are needed for a gdps as they have every file needed for the gdps to run, hovewer, Cvolton GDPS isn't the only gd client. There are more, (Ex: TeamHAX GDPS)
