Early Life and Education[edit]

David J. Fischer was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in October of 1995 to his parents David and Lillian Fischer. He graduated from Natick High School in 2014 and then attended Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. In 2018 He received his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Astronautics. While at Embry Riddle, David joined Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps otherwise known as AFROTC, as a cadet. David commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in December of 2018.

Military Service, United States Air Force[edit]

David J. Fischer was first assigned to the 14th Flying Training Wing in the 14th student squadron at Columbus Air Force Base under Air Education and Training Command to become a pilot. While awaiting his undergraduate pilot training (UPT) courses to begin, David worked on a new program which uses Virtual Reality in an effort to reduce costs and time in training pilots. This work was part of a larger program based out of Randolph Air Force Base.

David attended Initial Flight Training (IFT) which was run by L3 Technologies and located in Pueblo, Colorado. He attended in July and August of 2019 and flew the Diamond DA20 in the 1st Flying Training Squadron

Upon graduation from IFT, David returned to Columbus Air Force Base where he flew the T-6 Texan II in the 37th Flying Training Squadron for phases 1 and 2 of UPT.

Personal Life[edit]

David J. Fischer trained in various forms of Martial arts during his spare time. He began Taekwondo at just 6 years of age and in 2010 he received the rank of 3rd Dan Black Belt in the Kukkiwon. He also trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and Krav Maga.

David was always interested in computers and technology. He runs a YouTube channel where he goes by the name "Fishandbike"
