I deleted your article because I thought it was about a subject that didn't meet the notability criteria, but I'm open to the possibility that I was wrong. If you'll provide me with links to three articles about the subject in newspapers, magazines, or significant online sources, I'd be happy to undelete the article, and I'll even add the sources to it so no one else will mistake it for an inappropriate article.

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, Sample. It lacks the reliable sources that would verify the subject's notability. If this is a notable subject, there's no need for you to worry- just add two or three reliable, independent sources that confirm the subject's importance- sources like newspaper articles, magazine articles, books, or even significant online sources that have written about it. Don't be alarmed by the tag for deletion that I put on the article; the article won't be deleted for five days, and if you can add the needed sources, it won't be deleted at all. While you do have the right to remove the deletion template, you shouldn't remove it until you've added the needed sources, and it helps if you add a note on the talk page explaining why it shouldn't be deleted. If you remove the deletion notice before you add the needed sources, it's possible that the article will be sent for further discussion at Articles for Deletion. If, after reading the notability criteria, you agree that the article should be deleted, just add {{db-author}} to the top of the article to signal your request for deletion. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks!

Hi! Wikipedia isn't a forum for advertising, and the rules don't allow us to use the name of a business as a username, so I've blocked this account and deleted the advertisement you created. Although we have strict rules against advertising, we're otherwise very nice people, so if you're interested in volunteering to help write the encyclopedia, you're entirely welcome. Just create a personal username and jump right in- but be careful to avoid writing about your own business. Thanks! If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 19:12, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, Sample. It did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Don't feel too badly; lots of people have a little trouble when creating their first article. You might find it useful to read Your First Article for some good advice about starting to create articles on Wikipedia. Two important rules of thumb are: Avoid writing about yourself, your business, your family and friends, or your web page, and avoid writing about anything that hasn't been written about in reliable sources like books, newspapers, and magazines. Anyway, don't be discouraged. I've deleted the article you created, and feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. If I've made a mistake, and this article really is about a subject that meets the notability criteria, then please let me know by leaving me a message and links to at least three newspaper articles, magazine articles, or books that have been written about the subject, and I'll be glad to undelete it, and even add the sources so no other patroller makes the same mistake. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 17:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, sample. It appears to be an advertisement. It's a common mistake for new users to make, but Wikipedia isn't a forum for advertising, and there's no real way to advertise your business, organization, or web site on Wikipedia, no matter how worthy it might be, because under the conflict of interest guidelines, we all agree not to write about ourselves or our own businesses. Don't worry- if your endeavor really is notable, then it's inevitable that someone without a conflict of interest will read about it in reliable sources and become interested enough to create an article about it. I've deleted the advertisement for you, and if you're interested in sticking around to help us write an encyclopedia, you're entirely welcome- check out our help page for some good advice about how to contribute usefully to the encyclopedia. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:21, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, sample. It's about a business, but the business doesn't appear to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. It's a common mistake for new users to make, but Wikipedia isn't a business directory, but an encyclopedia- we don't need an article about every business, and we all avoid writing about our own businesses. WikiCompany is a business directory, and might be a better place for you to put your profile. I hope that's helpful- feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, sample. It's about a person, but the person doesn't appear to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. It's a common mistake for new users to make, but Wikipedia isn't a directory, but an encyclopedia- we don't need an article about every person in the world, but only those who have been written about in newspapers, magazines, and books, and we all avoid writing about ourselves. Biographicon is a directory of biographies of people, without a notability requirement, and might be a better place for you to put your profile. I hope that's helpful- feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
