I'm Fracton. I live in Encinitas, California which is in San Diego County. I'm a physicist (semi-retired) with interests in nonlinear science, chaos theory, and applications to other areas of physics and engineering such as the dynamics of variable stars. I have a PhD in physics from UC Berkeley. I'm also a skeptic and a strong opponent of pseudo-science and conspiracy theories. I'm also interested in science education and sometimes work as a volunteer on exhibits at the Fleet Science Center in San Diego. I'm named after a quantized vibration on a fractal lattice.
