George "Fully" Fullwood George "Fully" Fullwood, was born in Kingston Jamaica October 30, 1950. Bass legend and founder of the crucial 1970s Jamaican band, the Soul Syndicate, George Fullwood has shaped the sound of reggae music across the decades. As one of the most popular and well-known bass players in the world he has provided the rhythmic essence for every major reggae artist, including the all-time greats Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Joe Higgs, Dennis Brown, and Michael Rose. In addition, he has worked or recorded with Keith Hudson, Alton Ellis, Roy Shirley, Ken Boothe, Jacob Miller, Augustus Pablo, Horace Andy, Gregory Isaacs, Delroy Wilson, Sugar Minott, Junior Reid, Tenor Saw, Tony Tuff, Frankie Paul, Big Youth, John Holt, U-Roy, Freddie McGregor, The Heptones, Abyssinians, Congos, Johnny Clarke, Pat Kelly, Tapper Zukie, Derrick Morgan, Tommy McCook, Cornell Campbell, Marcia Griffiths, Yabby You, Junior Byles, Justin Hinds, The Itals, Jimmy London, The Maytones, Vernon Buckley, Niney the Observor, Slim Smith, Dillinger, Junior Delgado, Yellowman, Dave Barker, Jackie Paris, Winston Riley, The Techniques, Stranger Cole, Duke Reid, Prince Buster, Pat Kelly, Errol Dunkley, Eek-A-Mouse, Ijahman Levi, Rod Taylor, Prince Alla, The Mighty Diamonds, Black Uhuru, Sister Carol, Judy Mowatt, Mikey Dread, Max Romero, Tristan Palmer, Phillip Frazer, Don Carlos, I-Roy, Andrew Tosh, and many more. George Fullwood's bass sound has provided the essential rhythm to these artists' powerful words, and was the anchor of the final lineup of reggae superstar Peter Tosh's famous band, Word, Sound and Power. He is also a producer, composer, songwriter and singer. He has released three solo albums, ‘For All Time’; ‘Fully Loaded’; and ‘Crazy Town’ in collaboration with Frances Fullwood as co-writer.
