Francis Waring from Edinburgh, Scotland. I have a doctorate in chemical enzymology, and all my working life was spent as an academic -- most recently in the field of DNA- and protein-sequence related computing. I've always been interested in the worlds to be found in a library, and since I retired this has led me to look for printed, written and internet sources for local and personal history.
