Summary of deletion history

Numerous redirects (since restored) that went to Tipperary county football team, which, somehow, despite being quite large, did not have a single source after WP:PROSPLIT from Tipperary GAA and was subsequently moved to draft space.

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Gaelic footballers who died during their careers. A missing sport I noticed at Sportspeople who died during their careers. I asked for it to be put out of its misery. It was. These weren't. A "car crash" discussion, wrote one of the commentators. Many players of baseball, basketball, ice hockey and (non-Gaelic) football crawled out of the wreckage. Not all athletes are equal.

Category:Murdered Gaelic footballers: This was killed off with all the other sportspeople during a new year massacre. Fine by me.

Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2020 December 4#Footballers who switched code. "Note that Category:Dual players (of hurley and Gaelic football) is not included in this nomination, as main article Dual player seems to suggest that this specific notion is defining within the context of Gaelic sports." So I pointed out Irish experiment (Australian rules football) as being potentially defining within the context of Gaelic footballers switching code. No consensus.

Category:St Paul's (Galway) Gaelic footballers: Empty.

Elaine O'Meara |concern = Absent sources. Does not meet GNG. No indication that ANYBIO is met. Seems to be involved in camogie but does not meet NGAELIC.

Jean Murphy |concern = Absent sources. Does not meet GNG. No indication that ANYBIO is met. Seems to be involved in camogie but does not meet NGAELIC. A minor title? A junior club championship? A senior B championship with her club? What her uncle did? What her aunt did? What her father does? This is before trying to work out which name she uses – the one in the article title, the one in the opening sentence or is it the one in the infobox? Three contradictory answers and none of them, when searched with "camogie" or similar, led to anything that confirmed her existence. Is she still a student 12 years later? I suppose students can get married.

Nell McCarthy |concern = Does not meet WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO like the similar Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eilish Redmond and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Síle Horgan, with others opting to unanimously delete those. Sports officials are not covered by WP:NGAELIC. Nor is a club playing career, the introduction of skirts or the publication of four issues of a magazine by... someone else... who has no page anyway. As for the uncle and grandnephew... one of the sources is the briefest of obituaries (six sentences, one given over to the uncle and grandnephew). The other source provided is one page (460) in a book. This same page was used as the single reference for Brídín Uí Mhaolagáin and Lil O'Grady, which suggests more of a list on that page than anything more significant. This book was written by another president of the same organisation so can hardly be classed as independent.

Phyllis Breslin |concern = Does not meet WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO like the similar Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eilish Redmond and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Síle Horgan, with others opting to unanimously delete those. The single (seemingly independent) source provided is one page (460) in a book. This book was written by another president of the same organisation so can hardly be classed as independent. The same page was used for Agnes Hennessy, Lily Spence, Chris O'Connell, Brídín Uí Mhaolagáin, Lil O'Grady, Síghle Nic an Ultaigh, Belle O'Loughlin, and probably others, which suggests more of a list on that page than anything more significant. There is a link to the Camogie Association website, which is not independent either. Details such as working for the Irish Dairy Board for 32 years, being the fourth of seven children and the various adventures of her grandfather, an uncle and father do not contribute to notability. Sadly she seems to have died but the only obituary of her (in a local paper) gives little else to add save for "she loved to attend novenas to Saint Anthony and devotions to Our Lady. Her many other hobbies included playing bridge, crafts, going out for lunch, cooking and baking... loved to bake scones, apple tarts, sponges and queen cakes... She was never a real drinker but would very occasionally indulge herself with a Pimms and red lemonade." Though since "Phyllis never missed her weekly copy of the Waterford News & Star and it is only fitting that she be remembered here" it is possibly not independent either.

Lily Spence |concern = Does not meet WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO like the similar Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eilish Redmond and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Síle Horgan, with others opting to unanimously delete those. Sports officials are not covered by WP:NGAELIC. Nor is the unfortunate death of her husband, his resting place and the activities of her children. She seems to have vanished without trace one year after her presidency. One of the sources provided is one page (460) in a book. This same page was used as the single reference for Brídín Uí Mhaolagáin and Lil O'Grady, which suggests more of a list on that page than anything more significant. Síghle Nic an Ultaigh |concern = Does not meet WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO like the similar Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eilish Redmond and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Síle Horgan, with others opting to unanimously delete those. Sports officials are not covered by WP:NGAELIC. Details such as being named after a folkloric figure and organising courses for referees do not contribute to notability. Chris O'Connell | concern = Does not meet WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO like the similar Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eilish Redmond and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Síle Horgan, with others opting to unanimously delete those. Sports officials are not covered by WP:NGAELIC. Nor is a playing career that did not go past local club level, even if her sister was there with her. Unspecified people called Paddy, Mick, Matt and Sean may have won hurling honours but this does not contribute to notability, nor do the activities of the four cousins, her (unclear) involvement with two others in a joint achievement and what the special congress in 1964 decided to allow. One of the sources provided is a page (460) in a book. This book was written by another president of the same organisation so can hardly be classed as independent. The same page was used as the single reference for Brídín Uí Mhaolagáin, which suggests more of a list on that page than anything significant. The single source provided is one page (460) in a book. This book was written by another president of the same organisation so can hardly be classed as independent. This BLP? (it is unclear if the subject is deceased or living) has remained in this state for more than a decade, with neither the creator nor others doing anything to improve it in that time.
