Henry F. Keenan

KEENAN, Henry Francis (known as Henry F. Keenan), b. Rochester (NY) 1849, d. Washington (DC) 1928. American journalist and nvelist, HFK was born of poor Irish immigrants. He fought in the Civil war as a private, and returned to become a journalist on the Rochester Chronicle. He moved to New York City around 1870, where he made a career on the New York Tribune. Between 188? and 1888 he worked full-time as a novelist. .... [1]
