Geoff Weston was born in Dunedin New Zealand on December 6, 1950. From his very early life he became involved in make believe lands and stories. He initially worked in Medical Experimental work and scientific photography and is mentioned in various scientific papers of the University of Otago. In the eighties he was working as an Ophthalmic Photographer (Eye Photography) and in 1990 founded the World's Most Southern Winery in Dunedin New Zealand. He has published the wine booklet- PORT, PORT, PORT. The Wine Post Hand Book 1995 for which he was awarded a literary medal from the Royal New Zealand Philatelic Society. He has co-produced the educational booklet- Birds of the Bird hall of the Otago Museum. Recently he published under his own in-print - DreamTime Publications - The Wreck of the Otago by Bruce E. Collins. And in 2009 he published his Epic Fantasy Adventure Trilogy- [The Surkling Collectors Edition] (Epic Fantasy Adventure in the Land of Muggy) which evolved from the history and tales of The Land of Muggy.
This evolved from 1962 when with his brother Barry Weston he created a three-dimensional map called The Land of Muggy on which they played Wars and Empires. Geoff Weston's interest in history and writing led him to document this alternative history along with many of the tales. The Land of Muggy is the Fantasy Land of mythical proportions created by the author G.P.Weston from which his Trilogy Epic Fantasy Adventure novel – '''THE SURKLING''' – (Amazon.com) and other strories are drawn from. The Land of Muggy is physically a large three-dimensional map that was created in the early nineteen sixties originally for the purpose games of War and Empires. And since then, it has undergone several restorations and projects to bring together all its history and stories. This alternative world also has a star system, and a solar system; but is without a moon. G.P.Weston’s Epic Fantasy Novel – The Surkling, features a host of unusual jewels, names and languages; and brings the reader into the highly detailed and huge scape of the Land of Muggy. The on-line Land of Muggy Journal carries the map, some pieces of history, legend and various illustrations; and the postage stamps of the Land of Muggy which is also listed as an Artistamp Country.
