A picture of stoma from a leaf of Arabidopsis thaliana. These holes in the leaf allow gas exchange that is important for photosynthesis. They are imaged by fluorescence microscopy using DAPI stain that highlights the nuclei and plant cell wall. Image credit: David D. (talk)
