Leinier Savon Pineda is a visully impaired Cuban athlete who competes in the T/F12 classification.

Career[edit]

He made his international debut in 2014 in Mexico.[1]

2016[edit]

At the Paralympics Savon Pineda competed in the 100 and 200 metres as well as the long jump.

100, Gold, heats 10.89 (fastest overall), final 10.97[2]

200, Gold, heats 22.42, semi-final 22.28, final 22.23[3]

In the long jump he finished eighth with a personal best of 6.74 metres.[4]

Personal Life[edit]

Pineda is the cousin of Olympic boxer Felix Savon.[5]
