Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur founded in 1996, Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur (GKL) previously known as Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, is now a subsidiary of Pantai Medical Centre Sdn Bhd. Serving the medical and healthcare needs of local and international patients, GKL comprises of a 369-bed, tertiary care hospital and a separate 7-storey Medical Consultation Suites which accommodates 120 specialist consulting suites for outpatient care.

The hospital commenced its operations on 1 August 1996 and was officiated by the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed on 16 December 1997.

In 2015, GKL has expanded its operational infrastructure by opening a new annexe. The 9-storey building situated next to the main building is part of an RM 220 million investment. Built and outfitted in accordance to Green Building Index (GBI) standards, the building is built with the consideration to promote sustainability and eco-conscientiousness, from the ground up. The new annexe houses 100 beds, 51 specialist consultation suites, 23 retail lots and 3 VIP in-patient suites. It is also a home to a one stop Health Screening Centre that is equipped with state of the art diagnostic facilities in Endoscopy, Neurology, Spirometry, Audiology and Women’s Health.
