AmarJyoti AkkaMahadevi is a Kannada movie staring Rajashri Thalange as AkkaMahadevi. This is a biography of an extraordinarily enlightened Shiva Yogini Akka Mahadevi from 12th Century. Akka is an Experienced, Philosopher, Writer, Revolutionist, Free Thinker.

Akka took birth in a village called Udutadi, in Shivamogga district.She considered her worshiping deity Shri Channa Mallikarjuna as her Husband. Akka Mahadevi is renowned as a Great devotee and for her lover for Vachanas.

In this movie all artist are ladies, even male characters enacted/dubbed by ladies; dedicated to AkkaMahadevi for Woman empowerment. This is humble effort to showcase the path The AkkaMahadevi walked in strands.
