The Centre for Juridical Studies is one of the Premiere Law schools in Upper Assam.Considering the importance and demand for five-years integrated law education and the advice of the Bar Council of India and The Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, Dibrugarh University established the Centre in the campus.The Centre conducts teaching in law and allied disciples. The aims at providing quality legal education in the under graduate level for which the Centre regularly conducts internal seminars among the students, court visit and moot court. As a part of its social reponsibility the Centre conducts legal aid and legal literacy camps in the interior villages in the Dibrugarh district.


Courses conducted: The centre at present runes the following courses:- 1. 5 years integrated BALLB(H)course 2. 5 years integrated BALLB course

Infrastructure: The centre has a well furnished building. The Centre has a well equiped library with the law and allied discipline books, magazines and law journals like Supreme Court Cases, All India Reporter, Legal Analyst, Practical Lawyer, Lawyers Update, All England Reporter. The library also stores the back volumes of Journals like Calcutta Weekly, Company cases,Malaya law review,Indian Journal of International Law etc. Apart from the Centre library, the students have access to the central library of Dibrugarh University. The Centre has a well equipped moot court hall where the moot court Competitions are conducted regularly.Apart from these the Centre has well furnished chambers for the faculties, common rooms for both girls and boys.

Faculty: The Centre has well experienced and excellent teachers for both law and other allied disciplines. The Centre has both regular and Visiting Faculty/Part Time Faculty.
