Overview Googly75[edit]

I used to edit on Wiki a few years ago but for the life of me can't remember my passwords. Particularly intersted in general Cricket articles and the intricacies and history of the game.

I also feel there needs to be certain anglophilication to Wikipedia - for example do we really need to refer back to baseball when we talk about cricket and it's types of play? This applies to other sections of Wikipedia, a source for the whole world, not just the views of America.

I stopped using this a while ago based on some overzealous Wiki editor who had a go at me about copyright (i basically referenced the autobiography of a cricketer - but it was references were quoted and linked).

Cricket[edit]

I am a major Cricket fan. There are several pages out there that are very basic in content, but have been put together by so many people it is hard to alter. Most need to be started again with some structure. My biggest gripe is the way baseball analogies and metaphors has crept into many cricket pages eg Wicketkeeper page. Cricket is the World's second biggest sport, so why does that need a baseball reference when explaining something?

If anyone wants to discuss making better general cricket pages, please contact me. Also am very eager to get Essex Player pages up to the standard of others. Especially Nasser Hussain and Graham Gooch. Both are cricket legends and their wiki pages do not reflect this. Then some gits come along and change everything. ARGHHHHHHH

Pages i'll one day hope to improve[edit]
