Liet International 2009 was the 6th edition of Liet International, organised by Stichting Liet and the Council of Europe. The contest took place on 31 October 2009, and was held at the De Harmonie [nl] theatre in Leeuwarden, Netherlands for the fourth time. Eleven regions participated in the contest for the third time in a row.

Sápmi's SomBy were the winners of the jury award and, hence, the contest with the song "Ii iđit vel". This was Sápmi's fourth win in the contest. Debuting country Sardinia's Dr. Drer & CRC posse [it] won the audience-voted public award with the song "Apu biu", and placed second overall. Completing the top five was Friuli, Ireland, and Friesland in third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Debuting region Latgale placed last with only 24 points.
