About Me

[edit]

I was born in 1992 and grew up in Rockville Centre. I have three great siblings, two amazing daughters, and one wonderful wife. My parent's aren't half-bad either. For fun, I enjoy practicing martial arts, I hold multiple ranks in different styles of martial arts practice, most notably in Shotokan and Matayoshi Kobudo. I also enjoy archery, playing the piano, and of course, playing with my children.

I began my career in law at a US criminal defense firm, the Law Office of Anthony Colleluori in 2010 where I met my wife. In 2011, my wife opened her own firm, The Law Office of Alena Shautsova, specializing in US immigration law and New York employment discrimination law. I have worked with her ever since: keeping families together, and fighting for justice, two very important things to me. In 2019 I graduated Cum Laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights. In the past decade, my wife and I together have helped thousands of people to successfully apply for or adjust to a US lawful permanent resident, or a US Citizen status. We have also helped hundreds of people settle discrimination complaints with their employers. In my spare time, I enjoy researching international human rights law and always have the question of how a person can use international law in a US domestic dispute at the front of my mind while doing so. Due to the nature of my work, I also have an extensive knowledge of US Asylum laws and how the US complies with international law in this respect.
