  • Lakeside Pride Music Ensemble - (Lakeside Pride Music Ensemble (https://lakesidepride.org/)) is a non-profit organization established in Chicago (1997). The organization grew from the legacy of the Chicago Gay Pride Band (1979) with the idea of creating performance groups consisting of the Chicago LGBTQ community and allies. There are four major ensembles: jazz orchestra, marching band, symphonic band, and pops ensemble. In addition, there are multiple chamber ensembles that aid in the organization's mission to showcase our members' musical talents to the Chicagoland community. Lakeside Pride Music Ensemble is known for its marching band's participation in the annual Chicago Pride Parade, annual winter concert by the symphonic band, Wilde Cabaret at Chicago's Sidetrack bar, and more.
