Gumtrap a.k.a "Chewi" is a cape town based music producer and DJ. He is also the CEO and founder of SoundWAV records, which is a multi-genre record label based in Cape Town. He has been DJ'ing since 2007, producing since 2008 and playing drums since 2004. His experience within the industry is varied and includes the hosting of events, tours and sound for weddings and corporate events. In 2014 Dewald started a Afrikaans electronic rap group called Sektir. He's the producer and manager and he also raps on the album. They have played places like Aandklas and Klein Libertas in Stellenbosch, some private events and toured to Plett to perform at Rage in 2014. They've had their songs played on MFM as well as RSG. In 2016 Dewald hosted one of the last events at The Assembly before they closed. He featured artists such as The Jumping Guns and Rubix Qube.
