INTRODUCTION[edit]

BIO[edit]

Hello Wikipedia, my name is Mirna, born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala and, now living in Chicago IL. I’m a nursing student at College of DuPage planning to transfer to Benedictine University for my last year to become a Register Nurse. I’m enrolled in English Composition II this semester, where we are asked to join the Wikipedia community, I never thought of myself editing something here or even writing a little about me, but once here I think this will be a great experience. Now, I’m working as a Medical Screener to get some experience in the health field to help me later as a nurse. I would love to work in an Emergency Room, I find it very interesting to get to see many different cases every day instead of just being in one place with the same patients.

HOBBIES[edit]

Some of my hobbies are going on a walk with my dog to the park enjoying nature and breathing fresh air. I love dogs, anything related with them is a time well spend for me, my dog is a mix of Maltese, Gigi. I speak English and Spanish fluently and I like to learn about other cultures and languages, I don’t speak another language but, I know a little of Polish and Arabic, I usually learn from my friends and their music, listening to music in other languages is something that I like. One of my favorite quotes is “we don’t always have to agree with one another but it’s important that we learn to respect each other.”[1] By Rubyanne. We live in a world where many people think that is okay to bully because you are different and to treat other in a rude manner because of different beliefs or race, that’s something that has to stop to have a happier world.
