Hairybottle is a Wikipedia newbie living in South Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom. He works in the field of automotive logistics for a Japanese company in Swindon. He lives in a village on the edge of the Cotswolds with his Canadian wife.

The name Hairybottle comes from the meaning of Chinese characters which could represent his first name, Kevin.

He began contributing to Wikipedia as a side project to a blog he decided to write. As Wikiholism set in, he soon found that there was little time or inclination left for blogging, although he hasn't given up hope of returning to the blog project at some time in the future.
