Halfshell (also known as Halfshell Hero, Sabaka, and Sabaka'Zlo) is a furry artist who joined the fandom in 2003, after leaving the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom the same year. While surfing, he stumbled on anthropomorphic art and was instantly hooked. He began to submit his own art and picking up requests and was welcomed into the community. Along the way, he has chatted with individuals from Jaimetud Otter to meeting Sir Kain. Halfshell attended his first furry convention at AnthroCon 2005 with Sir Kain. Halfshell has met many furs online. After the trip to the con, Halfshell got his first Post Con Depression.

Fursona

[edit]

Sabaka (Zlo) is Halfshell's first original character. Sabaka, the Russian meaning for dog or wolf; Zllo, the Russian meaning "demon", "evil", "devil". The idea for the character was spawned when Halfshell and a local kid were creating ideas for comicbook characters. Sabaka' Zlo is currently being used for IronClaw role-playing game, and is Halfshell's current fursuit.

Music for the Ears

[edit]

In late 2004, Halfshell was signed on the board of InflationNation where he and best friend Jaimetud Otter recorded “Blue’s Christmas” for the message board and his good friend Blue Dragon.

In 2005 Halfshell recorded "Leaving the Con", a reflection of his Post Con Depression. After searching for parody furry artists, Halfshell found SonicBlu, and purchased his albums from FurNation. Halfshell wanted to try paroding on his own, with such parody music of Elvis Presley, Tom Petty, and Duran Duran. Currently working on a project for Furnation Multimedia and the Raccoon's Bookshelf, with his music and videos.
