User:Haoreima/Brothers and sisters in Meitei culture

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Orphan Khuman Khamba and his sister Khamnu led a miserable life after the death of their parents. Due to lack of enough clothes during cold season, they had to warm themselves by sleeping with their fatherly Kao (bull).

The relationship between brothers and sisters play crucial role in different elements of Meitei culture, including but not limited to Meitei festivals, Meitei folklore, Meitei folktales, Meitei history, Meitei literature, Meitei mythology, Meitei proverbs, traditional Meitei religion (Sanamahism), etc.
